I recently came back from a week long meetup for our WordPress.com Divison, held in the beautiful city of Munich, in Germany. It was a fun & work filled week but I really appreciated seeing my colleagues in-person after so long, some of whom I hadn’t seen in years, or at all.
If you don’t already know, the entire team of Automattic is distributed, which means folks can work from literally anywhere on the Earth as long as they have a working internet connection and a laptop. While most of us work from our homes, some of us are definitely courageous enough to take up the nomadic lifestyle. Once a year, we gather together as a division to see each other in person. We used to previously have bigger, company wide meetups called “The Grand Meetup” but it’s become a lot more trickier now that we’re a bit too many. I still enjoyed this meetup a lot, and Munich during fall is absolutely mesmerizing! Sharing some pictures of Munich for y’all below 🙂
